and i have been enjoying some great back yard shooting with this bow

this is my first "real" bow. for the past year i have been experimenting with PVC bows. my last one was built at 60" with a 2x4 riser carved out weighing in at 22lbs @ 28". decided to go bigger and more powerful, so i picked up this one. im not an "archer" by any means. just a diy'er with too many hobbies. this bow exceeded my expectations. and i have been enjoying some great back yard shooting with this bow. i have it set up with a bear hair shelf rest and just using dental floss for nock points (upper and lower). i have the 34lb 66" version. research said i should start at 40lb but this was the strongest available at this length at the time of purchase, and i am glad it was as im not sure how steady i would be able to hold 40lbs at my skill level. in this configuration, wearing a glove is a must (im just using Mechanix gloves atm). i actually ordered 2 of these (one for my son) and i cant wait till he sees it (he doesnt know about it yet). shooting off the shelf, arrows with real feathers are also a must. plastic fletching makes the arrows fly a bit wild (shooting at about 15-16yds). overall, extremely happy with this bow. going out back to shoot now.
